Our lakeside resort with a lovely terraced garden has some good old trees and bushes and thus is a true birders paradise with 2 resident crested cranes, kingfishers, mousebirds, sunbirds, canaries, ibis and many more, including a resident colony of wagtails.

MEET
OUR STAFF
Most of our staff are from the nearby village. They speak good English and have all experienced in the tourist business.
Dixon, our Nightwatch Man, who is a powerful swimmer and marathon winner gives kungfu lessons on request. A good workout is inclusive.
They all work as a team, making decisions together. They do the garden too. The garden was designed by the now 80-year-old owner of the place, Andrew Baliyampika and he still keeps an eye on it. With the Kalebas he was a pioneer at the lake's accommodation Bizz ages ago. Even now he is directing his most daring construction; 2-floor self-contained hawks view apartment with winding stairs!
The new director is Larissa de Jong from Amsterdam, Holland. She has a long experience of running a small hotel there.
